37 Palli Bagan
About 37 Palli Bagan
37 Palli Bagan Durga Puja
37 Palli Bagan Sarbojanin Durgotsab, located at 10, Dr Kartick Bose Street in College Row, is a bonedi (traditional, family-style) puja in Central Kolkata. Long established in the Baithakkhana–College Row belt, it is remembered by locals for maintaining the unhurried grandeur of old Kolkata celebrations rather than competing on sheer spectacle.
Like other bonedi pujas, 37 Palli Bagan places emphasis on ritual, the styling of the deity and the warmth of a neighbourhood gathering. Its pandal and idol traditionally reflect a measured, classical aesthetic, drawing residents and pandal-hoppers who appreciate the continuity of custom.
Publicly documented photographic and video coverage of 37 Palli Bagan's recent editions is limited, and no club-specific theme or year-media was confirmed during research. Visitors interested in the bonedi heritage of Central Kolkata will still find the puja a rewarding, atmospheric stop.
As documentation of this club improves, its dedicated year-wise media and themes can be added to the archive.
