About Sukta Sangha

Sukta Sangha — A Kolkata Community Puja

Sukta Sangha is a Kolkata community Durga Puja club. Detailed public records describing the committee's founding year, locality and themed pandals are not readily available in open sources, and the club is not among the extensively documented marquee pujas of the city.

As with hundreds of neighbourhood (para and sarbojanin) pujas across Kolkata, Sukta Sangha represents the grassroots fabric of Durga Puja — locally organised celebrations that bring a para together each autumn around the worship of Goddess Durga, with pandal, idol, cultural programmes and community gatherings. Such clubs form the living, everyday texture of the festival that UNESCO recognised as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

  • Type: community (sarbojanin / para) Durga Puja.
  • Documentation: limited public historical detail available.
  • Context: part of Kolkata's vast network of neighbourhood pujas.

Readers with first-hand knowledge of the club are encouraged to consult local committee sources for its specific history and location.
