Bhawanipur 75 Pally, tucked on Debendra Ghosh Road in Bhowanipore close to Netaji Bhawan Metro, is a beloved South Kolkata community puja with a loyal neighbourhood following. The club marked its 61st year in 2025. That year's theme, Binodini, paid tribute to Nati Binodini — the legendary 19th-century Bengali theatre actress whose life and artistry remain touchstones of Kolkata's cultural memory. The pandal recreated the world of the Victorian-era stage: painted backdrops, footlights and vignettes from Binodini's celebrated roles, inviting visitors to step into a living museum of Bengali theatre.

The inauguration by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee underlined the puja's civic prominence. Like many South Kolkata pujas, 75 Pally balances spectacle with intimacy — the approach road fills with families each evening, and the idol is rendered in a refined, traditional mould rather than overt experiment.
