Chetla Agrani Club, on Peary Mohan Roy Road in Chetla near Kalighat Metro, is among South Kolkata's most visited pujas. What began in 1959 as a gathering on the old Imperial Ground has grown into a marquee puja patronised by Mayor Firhad Hakim and inaugurated with blessings from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who has donated to the club. Chetla began its Durga Puja in 2007 and quickly built a reputation for grand, concept-driven pandals.

In 2025 the theme Amrit Kumbher Shondhane (In Search of the Nectar Urn) drew on the Samudra Manthan — the churning of the ocean — rendered with a monumental three-crore rudraksha Shivalinga and the goddess in her Brahmacharini form.
