Behala Club Sarbojanin Durgotsav Committee is one of the long-established community Durga Pujas of Behala in the southern outskirts of Kolkata, founded in 1938. Behala, historically a separate township now absorbed into the metropolis, has its own dense cluster of pujas, and Behala Club is among its senior and most recognised celebrations, anchoring the festive identity of the area for more than eight decades.

Across its history the club has combined the traditional ritual sequence with the kind of themed pandal work that modern Kolkata audiences expect. The 2025 edition continued this community tradition, with the pandal and idol framing designed to draw the crowds that flow through Behala Bazar and the surrounding paras during the festival. The puja follows the established calendar — Mahalaya and the advent of the goddess, then Shashthi through Dashami with the immersion procession — and it stages cultural programmes that involve local children and artists. Behala Club remains a key halt for anyone pandal-hopping in the Behala belt, sitting alongside other veteran clubs of the area. Its endurance speaks to the strength of the barowari movement in the city's southern fringes, where neighbourhood committees have sustained the festival as both devotion and public art since the early twentieth century.
