Naboday Sangha
About Naboday Sangha
Naboday Sangha — a Rajdanga, Kasba community puja
Naboday Sangha is a community Durga Puja in the Rajdanga–Kasba area of South Kolkata, located off Banku Bihari Chatterjee Road near Sarat Park. Like the many neighbourhood clubs of Kasba, it centres on the autumn worship of Goddess Durga and serves as a local gathering point for the five-day festival.
The club is listed among the active community clubs of Kasba, a residential belt of southern Kolkata with a dense network of para-based pujas. Its celebration follows the familiar rhythm of Kolkata's Durga Puja — khuti puja marking the start of construction, the raising of the pandal and idol, daily rituals through Saptami to Navami, cultural programmes, bhog, and the immersion procession on Dashami. Detailed published records on its founding year and past themes are limited, but its role in neighbourhood festive life is well established.
