Padmapukur Youth Association — A Community Durga Puja

The Padmapukur Youth Association organises a community Durga Puja in South Kolkata, Kolkata, continuing the barowari tradition through the energy of the neighbourhood's younger generation. Youth associations have historically been the engine of Kolkata's sarbojanin pujas, mobilising volunteers, funds and creativity.

The association's celebration follows the customary arc of the festival — from khuti puja and idol preparation to the five days of worship and the final immersion. Like its sister puja in the same locality, it represents the inclusive, public face of Durga Puja in Kolkata.
