Telengabagan Sarbojanin — grand, concept-driven pandals

Telengabagan Sarbojanin, in the Telengabagan area of North Kolkata near Ultadanga, is a community Durga Puja established in 1967. Over five decades it has become known for ambitious, large-format thematic pandals.

In 2025 the committee presented "Sutrapath" (also rendered "Achlaitan" / "Sutrapat"), a theme built around the idea of mobility and connection. For 2026 the announced theme is "Tilottama," drawing on the celestial nymph of Hindu mythology and reinterpreted through contemporary pandal craft. Telengabagan's presentations tend toward the spectacular, with sweeping structures and detailed tableaux that attract visitors from across the city.

Situated in a densely populated North Kolkata neighbourhood, the puja combines local community worship with a citywide draw, and it regularly features on lists of the year's noteworthy pandals. Its willingness to attempt grand, concept-driven designs keeps Telengabagan a fixture of the northern pandal-hopping circuit.
