Thakur Pukur Bratachari Sarbojanin — Behala's Cultural Puja

Thakur Pukur Bratachari Sarbojanin is a community Durga Puja from Thakurpukur, in the Behala region of South Kolkata. The club's name harks back to the Bratachari movement — the rural revival of folk dance, music, physical culture and social service initiated by Gurusaday Dutt in 1932, which took firm root in the Thakurpukur–Joka area (notably at Bratachari Gram). That cultural lineage gives the puja a distinctive identity within Behala's crowded festival calendar.
