About Young Boys Club

Young Boys Club

Young Boys Club is a long-standing community Durga Puja in the Kolutolla area of North Kolkata, near the burgeoning locality of Hatibagan and the old riverfront belt. The club is typical of the many para-based pujas that give North Kolkata its dense, walkable festival map each autumn.

Organised by local youth and residents, the puja follows the traditional community format: a decorated pandal, a clay idol made by one of the city's artisan families, and the full cycle of rituals from Mahalaya to immersion. It is not a theme-puja contender on the award circuit, but it is a genuine expression of neighbourhood devotion and continuity.

The club sits within easy reach of the Mahananda and MG Road metro corridors, and is often included in broader North Kolkata pandal walks that take in the larger nearby pujas. For visitors wanting to experience Durga Puja as everyday Kolkatans do — among crowds of locals rather than tourists — Young Boys Club and its peer para pujas are the right stop.
